In what year did you begin working in the real estate industry as a REALTOR®?
“In 2016, and that’s also when I joined Semonin.”
Why do you like working in the real estate industry?
“I love helping people by matching them up with a home they love. Relationships are my thing, and real estate gives me so many opportunities to build new ones. It's my jam!”
Why do you choose to affiliate your business with Semonin?
“Semonin is professional and operates with excellence, while still being a warm and caring family.”
What do you do to stay up-to-date/knowledgeable about the real estate industry?
“I love to read articles about the housing market, the local area and homes in general. I also participate in our company training and local board training, as well.”
What did you do before you began working in real estate?
“I was first a kindergarten teacher and then a children's pastor.”
Are you involved in any trade/civic or community organizations? If yes, please explain.
“I am involved in a few local organizations. One is Communities in Schools, which provides resources for at-risk children to help them succeed. Another is Power of Pink, which raises money for a local center for cancer patients. The center offers patients free resources, such as wigs, therapy, exercise classes, etc. I am also a member of Circle of Ivy, a group that provides help to Ivy Tech students when needed.”
Briefly, tell us about your immediate family:
“I have been married for almost 27 years, and we have three children. Our oldest is married and is a fire fighter. Our middle son is an MBA student at the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, IN, and our youngest, a senior in high school, is about to leave for Asbury University. Our family also has a spoiled dog named Ted ??.” (Response: 2019)
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
“I enjoy hiking and being on the water in my free time. I also love spending time with my family!”
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
“Love everyone, always.”
What is your favorite book/type of book? Why?
“I love business or self-help books. I am always looking for ways to become a better person.”
What is your favorite movie/type of movie? Why?
“I love inspirational comedies (if that's even a thing). I love to laugh and see the underdog be victorious, so that seems like a great melding of the two.”
What is your favorite song/type of music? Why?
“I love almost all music. It refreshes my soul.”
If you could wave a magic wand, what one thing would you most like to change in the world?
“I would love to see everyone being kind to one another.”
What are two or three items on your Bucket List?
“Hands down, No. 1- be in a flash mob! I've always wanted to be part of one. …Someday. I would also love to hike through all the Indiana state parks.”
If you could have dinner with anyone, living or deceased, who would it be? Why?
“Thomas Jefferson. He had such an amazing mind, but still was so kind. I would love to just listen to him tell stories of all the people he met and all the things he created.”

“Moot. It's so misunderstood and surprising all at the same time.”
